Happy New Year!
We’ve all experienced different ups & downs, trials & tribulations, amongst other things during 2016. We’ve seen shocking world events and things we never thought possible.
2017 is a new year full of new possibilities – make it count!
I’ve been reflecting on the past few years a lot and I’ve realised that time goes by SO quickly.
Sure, there may be difficult periods in our lives when it feels like time stands still, but it’s important to look at the bigger picture and realise that life is good.
We all want to be happy and healthy and be the best we can be – so let’s do it!
Decide that this year will be it.
This will be the year to put yourself and your wellbeing first. I’m not saying neglect your families – no! But remember that you cannot give from an empty cup…
If you’re not getting enough sleep and taking it out on the kids and/or hubby – go to bed earlier and make sure to get more sleep.
If you can’t enjoy physical activity and outside ‘playtime’ with your kids, get more active, so that you can enjoy it!
Not getting things done? Start to be more organised – make lists, keep a planner / diary and prioritise things.
Make time for the things you enjoy doing. Make time for your family. Make time for your kids.
Stop spending money on worthless stuff. Rather enjoy nature, experiences and time with friends & family.
Drink more water, less alcohol.
Use everyday activities to connect with your hubby / wife / kids. Cook together.
Keep things simple.
Look after your health! This is so important and something we easily overlook until it’s too late. Don’t let it be too late. Live Low Carb!
Anyways, my point is this – don’t let 2017 just whizz by, make it count.
